Apple Cider and Spice Sour Ale

In the Fall of 2016, we transferred Exiled Angel, our Belgian Golden Strong Ale, into our wine barrels along with fresh apple cider from Royal Oak Farm Orchard. The following Fall, it was dosed again with fresh cider, fermented, and then bottle conditioned with a blend of cider and spices, including Saigon cinnamon. Barrel #7 won a Gold medal at the 2018 Los Angeles International Beer Competition.
