New England Style IPA
The 1990s music scene was the decade of grunge, alternative and hip hop. The underground music scene gave rise to Indie artists and labels that offered a channel to distribute their talents. One of these Indie artists, Kool Keith, a rapper from the Bronx, released Dr. Octagon, his debut album that included the song Blue Flowers. The New England IPA (NEIPA) scene has become the underground Indie landscape in craft beer of late. Our Blue Flowers NEIPA is paving a new path in the popular New England IPA scene that we find ourselves enjoying today. Featuring a newer hop variety, Denali, and combining that with other hop varieties, the complex aroma offers hints of pineapple, lime, orange marmalade and lemon rounding out the aroma with melon and berry in the background. The light pilsner sweetness and fluffy oats provide a base flavor for the hop character that provides an almost tropical punch flavor highlighted with bright lemon/lime taste. Consider our tap room the newest performance venue for an up-and-coming New England IPA style!
