Last year, a very important person to our brewery family passed away after his battle with cancer. Not only did Don mean a great deal to his immediate family, but he touched so many others as he was very involved throughout McHenry County. Don grew up in Wisconsin before he immigrated to Illinois, and remained a true blue fan of all things Wisconsin...sports, food, and his Milwaukee lite beer. In memory of Don, we brewed a beer he would totally enjoy. We named the beer Brandmeier after a famous Chicago disc jockey – Jonathon Brandmeier ("Johnny B")(also from WI) – an entertainer that provided many contagious laughs for Don and some of his closest to share together. "Hey Der Polka Boy...We Miss U!" NOTE: For every pint purchased, 10% will be donated to the Harvard Food Pantry and Veterans Services at McHenry County Community College.
