** OUT OF COMMISSION **
Truth be told, this beer has had a long voyage, born from a single, simple idea – could we make a kettle sour beer using yogurt? To find out, we added Greek yogurt to some malty wort which overnight developed its own unique, clean, lemony tart flavor thanks to the yogurt’s cultures of lactobacillus – Eureka it worked! The wort was then salted with Flor Blanca Mexican Sea Salt, hard-harvested sea salt along the coast of tropical Manzanillo, Mexico and boiled. Sweet orange peel, mint, and lime juice were added after fermentation to complete this Gose Mojito concoction. FUN FACT: Did you know the derogatory word for British sailors “limey” originated because the Royal Navy began adding lemon or lime juice to the sailors' ration of watered-down rum to prevent scurvy?
