What is a fresh hop beer, you ask? Well, it’s one in which the hops were harvested, the cones removed from their bines, and within 24 hours of harvesting were added to the brew in order to extract as much fresh, hop resin as possible. Wet Willie is our wet-hopped India Pale Ale (IPA), featuring local Cascade hops grown and harvested from Fox Valley Winery’s hop yard in Sheridan, Illinois. To ensure maximum lupulin effect in this beer, we loaded our lauter tun up with over a 100 pounds of Cascades and turned it into a giant hop back, extracting the essential oils to feed your inner hop beast. This beer showcases Cascade’s hallmark of grapefruit, tangerine, and orange zest – sunshine in a glass!
