Our family has a love affair for Country Donuts going back over 30 years. As kids, Mike and Jen remember waiting in line to choose their favorite donuts, and are now passing that love onto their kids, friends, and Scorched Earth family. We are extremely excited to be collaborating with Country Donuts (located in Crystal Lake) and featuring their fantastic donuts in our DAY OLD DONUTS Imperial Milk Stout. The donuts were added to the lauter tun to not only to add some yummy donut flavors but for more sugar for the yeast to feast on. In addition to the donuts, we added milk sugar and cocoa nibs from our chocolate buds at Ethereal Confections into the boil kettle. We also added more cocoa nibs into the conical fermenter (we hope you like chocolate). Finally, the beer was infused with vanilla cream flavor to help hit our recipe target...a Boston Cream donut delight!
