Saint Monty, a melody of dark fruit - plum, fig, blackberry and dried cherry character - join in unison to harmonize with the more subtle spice notes provided by the Belgian yeast strain. The beer finishes dry, leaving a lingering cherry tartness. Fermented with Montmorency tart cherries from the heart of Michigan’s cherry country in our open fermenter, the brewing monks at Scorched Earth pay homage to Belgian Trappist brewers with their Belgian Dubbel, Saint Monty.
